Last week I entered my "Less Tangled" painting on Jess's website called
www.justaddwatersilly.com. It was a lot of fun to be featured with all the other
great artists who also entered. I encourage you to check it out.
I wasn't sure if I would enter this week. The challenge was to sketch something.
This quote has been stuck in my mind for years. It's one that always makes me
think about my goals. What are they? Have I put into motion the steps necessary to make
these goals happen?
This is what this quote means to me.

what a great quote! and so true. your interpretation of it is wonderful and fun! this would be excellent hanging in an office :) - or a whole bunch of other places, but that's where i'd use it if i had it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Alice. I'm so glad you liked it.
DeleteI plan on framing it and putting it on my desk to remind me of my ships that I've put out there. Thanks for subscribing.
that is a great quote and the pic is a great illustration of it... am adding it to my quote book immediately...xx
ReplyDeleteTracey thank you. I love knowing that my art is going into someone else's quote book.
DeleteWhat a beautiful compliment.
I agree with Tracey, excellent quote, makes you think.
ReplyDeleteI love your ships, hope some of them are coming in for you :)
Von
Thank you VonnyK. I'm happy you like the drawing and quote. Most of my ships/goals are happily cruising along coming in when they are ready. Of course, I'm also always sending out new ships/goals. It's a good thing there's lots of room in the ocean.
DeleteTotally agree with Trace and Von, great quote and I'm adding it too. I got a great quote from trace this APR too, you should go to her site and read it. You guys are totally inspiring me this week!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Jenn
As always, I love your art!!! What an inspiration you are to me. Someday, when I grow up, I wanna be just like you. Maybe I will take a challenge and post one with you.
ReplyDeleteL.
Laurie - you are so much fun. You are an inspiration to me as well. Thank you for your encouragement and support. If not for meeting you I would not have taken any of this art stuff seriously. Who knew that the day you asked us to join you in a art card a day, it would spark this interest for me? Thank you.
DeleteOH this is so fun! I love how every boat has a name - and I bet there is significance to each one of them!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm so happy you liked it. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteMinnemie, I just realized you are my 5th follower. Yay! I'm so happy you signed up. Thank you. I dream of growing my followers. That reminds me, I need to send out a ship with a 1000 blog followers on it.
DeleteWhat a great sketch to go with a wonderful quote. I loved looking at each little boat.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Thanks Darla. It was a really fun drawing. My first time drawing so many different types of boats. I love the way it turned out.
